Growing up my passion was always to be in the legal field specifically in Family or Criminal Law. I would always and still watch legal and law shows basically playing detective, making a list of the pros and cons of the case and who is truly guilty. Now, I am educating myself to become a paralegal.
During this process I have learned so much of the law; how to apply it and how to digest the information to understand what I did not know before. “Ignorance is not stupidity, but lack of knowledge".
I always had a quest for the truth,
knowledge and equality; to defend and stand up for those who were treated wrong
and make sure their outcome is fair. We live in a world full of greed, thieves
and liars. I want to seek the truth and apply the facts of the law to make
sure that if you are going to take a step forward that it is the right step
that you want to take. In my life I have been robbed from some things I deserve
just because I did not know the law very well. I had my parents being lied to
by lawyers and not getting fair treatments.
I can make any law office or firm look good by my bright, energetic and joyful personality; there is always a smile on my face. Being at NYCI pursuing my paralegal degree has also made me more articulate. I have expanded my vocabulary to write more and communicate better.

I see myself working as a paralegal while
getting a BA then heading off to law school. I am just going for my dreams and
doing what it takes to accomplish them. I
am fighting for what I want to pursue.
